Architecting Excellence Across the Pacific Since 2006
TropicX Design Studio was founded in 2006 by Raymond Prasad, a visionary architect who brought together years of experience from both Fiji and Australia. Initially working with top firms in Sydney, Raymond returned to Fiji to establish TropicX with the goal of delivering world-class architectural solutions tailored to the Pacific and Australasia regions.
Since opening its doors in Nadi in 2009, TropicX has grown into an award-winning practice known for its excellence in the hospitality and commercial sectors. Over the years, the studio has forged lasting partnerships with key clients and expanded its reach to Sydney, Australia. TropicX remains committed to delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions across the region, having completed numerous landmark projects from luxury resorts to commercial headquarters.
Our Director
Raymond Prasad was born in Fiji; he studied in Australia completing his degrees in Architecture from Deakin University in Victoria. He moved back to Fiji to work for Arpac International and later ASA Naidu Architects in Suva. He returned to Australia after 3 years of working in Fiji. He was employed by SCR Architects in Sydney and completed a number of projects with them over a 5 year period. He then moved to ALTIS Architects and was an associate director in charge of Hospitality Projects.
After returning to Fiji, he founded TropicX in 2006, with a mission to bring world-class architectural solutions to the Pacific region. Under his leadership, TropicX has grown into an award-winning practice, known for its innovative designs and contributions to Fiji’s commercial and hospitality sectors.
